sliders & bistró
Luisas is the first slider burger restaurant in Argentina, bringing the spirit of the classic American diner into a local setting. Located on a prominent corner in a traditional neighborhood, the restaurant naturally becomes a gathering point, drawing people in with its warm light and the energy that spills out onto the street. Conceived in collaboration with three partners who traveled twice to the United States to immerse themselves in the product, food culture, and architecture of diners, the project adapts those references into a space that blends tradition, warmth, and classic charm with a contemporary sensibility.
The ground floor is organized around a generous bar, the heart of the space, where guests can watch the preparation of the sliders in an open kitchen that turns cooking into a small spectacle. The atmosphere evokes the timeless appeal of American diners, with stools neatly lined along the bar, retro signage, and wood-and-iron booths that invite people to linger. The palette and textures convey comfort while giving the space a distinct and recognizable identity.
The upper floor offers a more intimate setting for evening dining. Here, the design draws inspiration from the warmth of a classic home dining room, with lighting, materials, and details that create a softer and more refined atmosphere, while maintaining a subtle connection to the character of the level below. This duality allows Luisas to function both as a vibrant social hub and as a space for more intimate gatherings, bringing together two distinct moods under one authentic, familiar, and character-filled concept.
